Salma Mohammed

Salma Y. Mohammed has over 25 years of experience both Banker and as a Human Resource Management Professional, spanning operational, tactical, and strategic human resource management responsibilities. She is currently Acting Managing Director of ALC Finance Limited.
Her experience covers Global Strategy Implementation, Business Process Improvement, Job Evaluation, Performance, Management System, Compensation and Benefits, Management Designs, Executive Selection, Organizational, Restructuring, Training Needs Analysis, Policies and Procedures Development, Staff Audit, Due Diligence, Business Development etc.
Prior to joining ALCF, she was an Executive Director/ COO of New Frontier Developments Limited. She also was the Group Head, Corporate Services at ASO Savings & Loans and Director of Integration for ASO & Union Homes. Key among her achievements included a transformation project of ASOs Internal Systems that entails the restructuring of the bank’s HRM framework, systems and processes.
Prior to joining ASO, Salma worked as Head of Private Banking at Bond Bank. Her experience in the banking industry also includes Private, Commercial, Public-Sector banking, Operation, Treasury and Foreign Exchange management garnered at Intercontinental Bank PLC.
Salma has a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from University of Bedfordshire and this is coupled with an Accounting degree from Bayero University Kano. In addition, she is a certified Balanced Scorecard practitioner from George Washington University, She is also a certified Master Neuro linguistic Programmer and a CIPM Human Resources Professional Licensed (HRPL)
She has attended several short courses at INSEAD, Lagos Business School, London Business School, Wharton Business Schools; Desmond Tutu Fellowship/ Oxford University, Euro money training, Theios Consulting; London Business School; KPMG Professional Services; Franklin Covey;
Salma is also an African Leadership Institute fellow (Tutu Fellow).
