EXPLORE GREEN HABITAT'S PROJECTS

I-WASH

The USAID funded Project for the Improved Sustainability of Integrated WASH services (I-WASH) is an innovative water, sanitation, and hygiene project that was implemented by Green Habitat Initiative (GHI) in two of the most underserved states in Nigeria, Kebbi and Sokoto states. The main goal of the project is to reduce water-borne diseases and associated socio-economic challenges through an integrated, participatory, and innovative approach that focuses on improving reliable and inclusive access to WASH services in health centres, schools, and unserved communities within Kebbi and Sokoto states.

RANETA

The Radio-Internet Climate Technology for Agricultural Resilience project (RANETA) was initiated to leverage radio and internet technologies to improve data availability, climate forecasting, and decision-making in the agricultural sector. The project aims to enhance agricultural resilience against climate change disasters in rural Kebbi State, Nigeria, by harnessing the combined potential of radio and Internet technology . The project is being implemented by the Green Habitat Initiative in collaboration with the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) and the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet).

EMSAS

Empowering Communities with Sustainable Agricultural System (EMSAS-hydroponics) project is one that serves technical assistance to a sub-national agency in Nigeria, implemented in Kubau Local Government (LGA) with the aim of addressing climate change, insecurity and food security. It is implemented through the joint European Union – Climate Technology Centre and Network (EU-CTCN) programme – part of the EU Multi-Annual Indicative Programme for the Thematic Programme on Peace, Stability, and Conflict Prevention (2021-2027).

I-CONS

The I-WASH Continuity and Sustainability Program (I-CONS) is a program designed to monitor and support the sustainability components of the I-WASH Activity in the Kebbi and Sokoto States. The program aims to guarantee the gains made during the I-WASH Project, especially in sanitation and sustainability components. The sustainability components of the I-WASH Activity include the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Committees (WASHCOMs), Social Enterprises, and the Pump View borehole monitoring system.
